Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 09, 2026

Spirit Gun Works (“SGW,” “we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit spiritgunworks.com or shop.spiritgunworks.com (the “Sites”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Sites you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

  • Contact details (name, email, phone, mailing address)
  • Order details (products purchased, price, quantities)
  • Payment information (processed by our payment provider — we do not store card numbers on our servers)
  • Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer details you enter at checkout for firearm transfers (dealer name, address, phone)
  • Account credentials, if you create a customer account
  • Messages you send us through contact forms, email, or phone

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited
  • Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in, remember cart contents, and understand how the site is used
  • Basic analytics (aggregate traffic patterns and page performance)

Information from third parties

  • Payment authorization and fraud-prevention results from our payment processor
  • FFL license verification results from the ATF Federal Firearms Licensee eZ Check system
  • Shipping status from carriers such as USPS, UPS, and FedEx

2. How We Use Information

  • Process, fulfill, and ship your orders
  • Coordinate firearm transfers with your chosen FFL dealer
  • Verify identity, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations
  • Send transactional messages (order confirmations, pickup notices, delay updates)
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve the Sites and product offerings
  • Comply with federal, state, and local firearms law and respond to lawful requests

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the business:

  • Service providers — payment processing (TacticalPay / Authorize.Net), shipping carriers, email delivery, analytics, and website hosting. These providers are contractually restricted to using your information only to perform services for us.
  • Your chosen FFL dealer — for firearm transfers, we share your name, contact information, and order details with the FFL you select at checkout, and we ship the firearm to them for transfer.
  • Legal and safety — we may disclose information when required by law, court order, or subpoena; to comply with the Gun Control Act and ATF regulations; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
  • Business transfers — if SGW is sold, merged, or reorganized, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction.

4. Cookies & Analytics

The Sites use cookies to keep your shopping cart, remember preferences, and measure traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features (checkout, login) may not function correctly without them. We use standard analytics (which may include third-party tools) to understand usage in aggregate. We do not use cookies for personalized advertising.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal information as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Firearm transaction records (Form 4473 and Acquisition & Disposition book entries) are retained as required by federal law — typically twenty (20) years, or the life of the license if the license is discontinued.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request corrections to inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of information we are not legally required to retain (note: ATF record-keeping requirements override deletion requests for firearm transaction records)
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in emails or by contacting us

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

7. Data Security

We use SSL/TLS encryption on all pages, restrict access to personal information within our organization, and rely on PCI-compliant payment providers so we never handle raw card numbers. No system is perfectly secure, however. If we experience a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

8. Children Under 18

The Sites are not intended for anyone under 18, and no one under 18 may purchase firearms or ammunition. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Substantial changes will be announced on the Sites. Continued use of the Sites after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
